Skillset and UGL, together with a local mechanical organisation, are offering an exciting First Nations Identified School-Based Traineeship in Automotive Servicing. This is a perfect opportunity for Year 10 students who want hands-on work, real experience, and a head start in the automotive industry.
About the Role
You’ll work towards your Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology over 2 years while gaining paid, practical experience in a workshop environment. Working alongside qualified technicians, trainees will learn essential skills such as vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and customer service. This role is ideal for students passionate about cars and keen to start a career in the automotive industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with general vehicle maintenance
- Servicing, repairing and running diagnostics on a range of vehicles and machinery
- Grease and oil changes
- Using computer diagnostic equipment
- Learning to use hand and power tools safely
- Supporting experienced mechanics in daily workshop tasks
We’re Looking For
- Current Year 10 Students
- Interest in cars, mechanics or hands-on work
- Good problem-solving and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
