About the role

Skillset is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Storeman to join our client’s team, supporting the mining and quarrying industries with expert maintenance and technical services. This position is casual, currently requiring full time hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep all company equipment and machinery in safe working condition

  • Test and tag electrical gear to meet safety standards

  • Keep equipment records up to date and accurate

  • Manage parts and tools coming in and out of the workshop

  • Keep the workshop and storeroom clean, tidy and safe

  • Maintain workshop manuals and prepare monthly maintenance reports

Skills and experience

  • Take pride in keeping equipment safe, clean and ready to use

  • Are hands-on, reliable and enjoy working in a team

  • Can follow safety procedures and take responsibility for their work

  • Are organised and can manage tools, parts and workshop spaces

  • Communicate clearly and work well with others

  • Are comfortable working independently and solving problems on the go

  • Want to be part of a team that values safety, quality and doing the job right

Essential Requirements:

  • Commitment to safety and critical control management

  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Organised, accountable and schedule-driven
