Are you passionate about taking the first steps to a successful and fulfilling career in animal care?
Skillset is currently seeking applications for their new Animal Welfare Traineeship to support the operations of our client’s new animal re-homing centre. This entry-level role is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience whilst learning from industry experts and take on a Certificate II or Certificate III in Animal Studies over 12 or 24 Months.
Duties
- Cleaning, exercising and animal handling duties
- Assisting with medical checks
- Handling customer enquiries
- Administration tasks
- Cleaning and general maintenance
Skills and Experience
- Are interested in animal care
- Understand workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Willing to learn and develop own skills and knowledge
- Drivers Licence preferred however not required – must have reliable transport to and from work
