About the Company
Our client is a locally owned and operated painting and decorating business in Lithgow, NSW. They have been providing quality painting services and building repairs for commercial and residential properties in the Upper Blue Mountains and Central West areas since 2004. Our client uses premium paints, materials and products to ensure longevity of the paintwork and full protection of their customers’ investments.
About the Role
The successful candidate will complete a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating over a 4-year period whilst gaining invaluable hands-on experience through one-on-one mentorship. They will work on a variety of projects and gain valuable insight into both the painting and construction trades.
Duties
- Prepare, sand and clean surfaces
- Assist with general site duties and maintain equipment
- Apply paint and decorative finishes
- Complete general carpentry repairs
- Provide high level customer service to clients and stakeholder
Skills and Experience
- Genuine interest in painting and decorating industry and commitment to a long-term career
- High attention to details, communication skills and adaptability
- Any trade-based work experience beneficial but not required
- Hold a White Card (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
- Applicants may be required to complete a Working With Children Check, National Police Check and medical assessments during the course of the apprenticeship.
