About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to kickstart their career in the glazing industry. As an apprentice glazier, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning the ropes of custom glass and aluminium fabrication and installation. From residential shower screens to commercial shopfronts, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a wide variety of projects whilst completing a Certificate III in Furnishing – Glass and Glazier.
Duties
- Make and fit shower screens, windows and sliding doors
- Install screen doors, mirrors and fly screens
- Cut glass to size for various applications
- Assist with glass window repairs
- Support the team with general workshop and onsite tasks
Skills and Experience
- Genuine interest in learning the glazing trade
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools (training provided)
- White Card required
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
