We are delighted to announce our Skillset Apprentice and Host of the Month awardees for May. These awards recognise the achievements and contributions within the vocational and skills development sector.
Host of the Month: First National Real Estate Mudgee
Nominated by Skillset Senior Workforce Consultant, Nicole Lees, First National Real Estate has been acknowledged for their exceptional efforts in creating a nurturing learning environment and making significant contributions to the development and growth of individuals in our regional communities.
Nicole praised, “Since our partnership began in 2017, we’ve successfully completed six traineeships. Recently, First National introduced their inaugural School-Based Trainee program. When a student’s circumstances changed, making it impossible for them to continue school, First National demonstrated remarkable flexibility by offering a part-time role. This adjustment allowed the student to continue their training and ensured they will still achieve their qualification.”
Apprentice of the Month: Garreth Bridgland
Congratulations to Garreth for earning the title of Apprentice of the Month due to his dedication to completing his apprenticeship. Garreth is currently completing a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Mechanical Apprenticeship at Yancoal Australia Moolarben Coal Operations.
Nicole Lees nominated Garreth for this award, noting, “Garreth recently dedicated some of his personal time to assist first-year open cut apprentices with their Skills Tracker. This site requirement at Moolarben ensures apprentices log their workplace tasks and gain the necessary experience to advance in their apprenticeship. Garreth provided valuable guidance to the first-year apprentices on accurately inputting their Skills Tracker entries and taught them how to document the appropriate units to reflect their tasks correctly.”
Congratulations to First National Real Estate and Garreth for their outstanding contributions!
