We are pleased to announce and congratulate our Skillset Apprentice and Host of the Month winners. These awards celebrate the accomplishments, dedication, and contributions within the vocational and skills development sector.

Host of the Month: Premise Orange

Premise Orange was nominated for this award in recognition of a host employer who goes above and beyond in creating a positive learning environment, making substantial contributions to the growth and skills development of individuals within our regional communities.

Here are some key reasons why Premise Orange stood out:

  • Currently employing 1 trainee and having previously completed training for another individual.
  • Demonstrating exceptional support for their trainee by offering flexible work hours and locations, ensuring their well-being and growth.
  • Collaborating closely with TAFE NSW and Skillset to facilitate unit progression and stay updated on industry developments.

Apprentice of the Month: Benjamin Leak

Congratulations to Ben for earning the title of Apprentice of the Month for his dedication to completing his apprenticeship. Ben is currently completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician Apprenticeship at host employer, Tilstons Electrical.

Ben was nominated for his:

  • Determination in developing a broad skillset and excelling in your chosen field.
  • Enthusiasm in the workplace.
  • High-quality coursework and commitment to study throughout your apprenticeship.

Furthermore, Ben received great feedback from his host employer, Adrian Bond at Tilstons Electrical.

Adrian said, “Ben demonstrates a remarkable ability to learn quickly and shows great motivation and initiative on the worksite. He has a positive attitude and pleasant demeanour making him a pleasure to work with. Other tradies who work at Tilstons consistently request to have Ben as their apprentices, recognising the value of his contributions and great work.”
