Skillset Announces Purchase of New CBD Building, Supporting Growth and Expansion

BY Skillset 21 Jun, 2023

Skillset is excited to announce the purchase of a new corporate office in the heart of Bathurst’s CBD. This strategic move signifies a significant step forward in their growth and expansion plans for both Skillset and Skillset Senior College.

Skillset is the largest employer of apprentices and trainees in the Central West and a leading recruitment company that provides permanent recruitment and temporary labour hire. Skillset also offers apprentice and trainee support programs, skills development, mentoring, and alternative education pathways for senior school.

The purchase of the iconic building at 103 William Street, formerly occupied by National Australia Bank, has been carefully considered after exploring various options. The new office will cater to the expanding needs of Skillset’s business services and corporate team and will provide space for additional learning and support areas for Skillset Senior College.

By investing in a new corporate office, Skillset reaffirms its commitment to regional businesses, elevating its brand and profile in Bathurst and the region. The central location of the building offers significant advantages for local businesses and prospective candidates, ensuring convenient access to Skillset’s comprehensive range of services, expertise, and support.

“As we embark on this exciting journey, our vision and purpose remain at the core of our endeavours,” said David Cooke, Skillset Chairman. “We are committed to inclusive consultation with all stakeholders in the planning process and to achieving exceptional work environments for our Skillset teams.”

This development represents a significant milestone in Skillset’s ongoing vision to create life-changing opportunities for people and communities across regional NSW. The building will now undergo a significant fit-out and refurbishment before relocating the business services and corporate teams.
