The report found Group Training Organisations like Skillset have a higher completion rate of up to 20 per cent due to the focus of providing pastoral care and ongoing support for apprentices and trainees.
What is Group Training?
Group Training is designed to keep things simple for businesses, Group Training is an arrangement where Skillset, the Group Training Organisation (GTO), employs the apprentices or trainee and then carefully recruits and matches the individual with a host employer for on-the-job training and supervision.
Our higher completion rates are because of our specialist group services including:
- Tailored recruitment services of your apprentice or trainee;
- Inductions and pre-employment checks and medicals
- Training support;
- Performance management – we take the hard conversations out of your hands;
- Handling of legislative requirements of hosting an apprentice or trainee;
- Payroll administration and payment of wages;
- Workers Compensation Insurance and unique hand back safety net – we manage all workplace incidents on your behalf
And most importantly ongoing specialist mentoring and assistance by a dedicated field officer to ensure continuity and successful progression throughout the entire apprenticeship or traineeship.
