Host of the Month: Devro Pty Ltd.
Our Host of the Month award goes to Devro Pty Ltd.
Skillset Workforce Consultant, Patrick Hoolihan, nominated Devro for this award to recognise a host employer that goes above and beyond in creating a positive learning environment. Devro has made substantial contributions to the growth and skills development of individuals within our regional communities.
Patrick highlighted, “Devro has shown invaluable support and patience with apprentices, showcasing their diligent and supportive approach in training apprentices. They meticulously follow training plans and see the value in these, ensuring that apprentices receive comprehensive rotations and exposure across various disciplines of the trades. This dedication to their training program fosters the skills development they require to grow the organisation’s skills but also creates a strong foundation for all apprentices’ future career prospects with the company.”
Apprentice of the Month: Tully Howell
Congratulations to Tully Howell for being named Skillset’s Apprentice of the Month for April. Tully is currently completing a Certificate III Carpentry Apprenticeship with host employer, GB Building.
Patrick said, “I always receive good feedback about Tully’s work ethic from his host employer, Graham. Tully is up to date with his TAFE work, an outstanding young rugby league player trying out for Sydney and representative teams. He is also an emerging Aboriginal leader in his community. Tully deserves this recognition and is a great role model for other young lads looking to pursue a trade qualification, whilst also chasing their dreams outside of work.”
