About the role

Skillset, in conjunction with Moolarben Coal Operations and the North East Wiradjuri Company (NEWCO) are currently seeking applications for a fulltime, LandWorks Trainee to complete a Certificate III Conservation Land Management. This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified position. 
This Traineeship provides the successful applicant with the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through completing on the job experience and training, whilst completing a nationally recognised course.
This entry-level opportunity is suited to an applicant who is highly-motivated, a team player, enjoy working outdoors and is keen to pursue a career in the Conservation Sector.
• Nationally accredited qualification in Australia
• Formal on the job training
• Mentoring and support from a dedicated Skillset Service Consultant
• Assist with on ground works including re-vegetation, weed control, seed collection, plant propagation and other land conservation activities
• Perform manual labour duties in an outdoor setting
• Adhere to Work Place Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Keen to work outdoors and make a difference in the environment and community
• Has the ability to work in a physically demanding role in outdoor bushland areas
• Has excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Exhibits a good work ethic and time management to ensure that tasks are completed on time
• Has a strong attention to detail and a drive to get the job done
• Holds a current NSW Drivers Licence
• Holds a NSW White Card or willingness to obtain
