About the role

Skillset, in conjunction with a well-known, community orientated sporting club are now seeking applications for their new Business Services Trainee to join their Orange based business. The successful candidate will work along-side a supportive team while completing a Certificate III in Business – Business Services over a 12-month period.

This is a great opportunity to commence in a dynamic role, which focuses on customer service over a variety of departments and roles. This suited to a strong-willed, customer focused individual who has the ability to think on their feet and possess a friendly manner.

Over the course of 12 months, you will be supported by a close-knit, professional team while undertaking on-the-job and formal studies.

  • A full time, 12-month placement that will provide formal on the job training
  • You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Consultant who will support you throughout your Traineeship
  • At the successful completion of the role you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification


  • Greeting and welcoming members and guests
  • Answering enquiries and providing information on the services and events of the organisation
  • Answering, connecting and transferring phone calls
  • Performing clerical tasks such as data entry, filing and mail dispatch
  • Complete all theory work related to the Traineeship
  • Assist with maintaining workplace safety
  • Apply critical thinking skills in a team environment


  • Are eager to start their career in business services
  • Ability to work within a team and in a fast paced environment
  • Experience in the delivery of quality customer service
  • Ability to think on their feet and use initiative to overcome barriers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Committed to the study component of the Traineeship

  • The first stage of assessment is an online entrance exam that will be emailed to you automatically when you apply. Individuals who do not complete the online entrance exam within the specified timeframe will be unable to progress to the next stage.
