IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! Boosting Apprenticeship Commencement Wage Subsidy Extended
It’s never been more affordable to invest in training for your business.
The Australian Government has announced the original cap of 100,000 places has been removed and the subsidy is available to employers of any size, industry or geographic location for all apprentices and trainees signed up until 31 March 2022.
In addition, the fifty percent wage subsidy will be paid for a 12-month period from the commencement date.
How much is the subsidy?
- Employers and Group Training Organisations may be eligible for a subsidy of 50 per cent of gross wages paid to a new or recommencing apprentice or trainee for a 12-month period from the date of commencement between 5 October 2020 and 31 March 2022.
- The wage subsidy is available for a maximum of $7,000 per quarter per eligible Australian Apprentice and Trainee.
