Why a Skillset Safer Driver Course is a good thing…

We know that living in regional Australia without a licence can be tough. Public transport is limited, taxis are way too expensive and bike riding is fun…sometimes.  Without a licence, you also limit your job opportunities.

A Skillset Safer Driver Course can help you get your driver’s licence so you can go where you want, when you want …and get there safely.  Imagine where you could go?

You also earn 20 log book hours.

Where can I do a course?

Courses run in Bathurst, Orange, Cowra, Dubbo, Parkes and Mudgee.

What’s involved?

You’ll complete two modules as part of our Safer Driver Course.

  • Module 1 includes a three hour facilitated group discussion to build awareness of risks, safe driving behaviours and decisions.
  • Module 2 is more practically based and includes a two-hour in-vehicle coaching session.  You are partnered with another student and you will each spend one hour behind the wheel.

Please note that, depending on class numbers and delivery location Module 2 MAY be conducted at a different date to Module 1. Limited places are available on the afternoon of the Module 1 session.  Preference for afternoon sessions will be given to students travelling long distances to access the course.
